Under § 23 of the Austrian Anti-Wage and Social Dumping Act (LSD-BG), posting employers must designate a contact person who acts as the liaison with Austrian authorities during the posting. The liaison person must be physically present in Austria during controls or inspections and able to perform all duties required during an inspection.
Liaison person requirements

Who Can Serve:
The liaison person role may be fulfilled by a professional legal representative domiciled in Austria, one of the posted employees, or any natural person residing in Austria.
Exception for Mobile Workers:
The obligation to appoint a liaison person does not apply to mobile workers posted under EU Directive 2020/1057 (e.g., drivers in road transport).
