ICT Permit
The ICT Permit is Austria’s immigration route for intra-corporate transferees—managers, specialists, and trainee employees from third countries who are transferred to an Austrian entity within the same corporate group for more than 90 days. This permit facilitates talent mobility within multinational corporations operating in Austria.

- Mobile ICT option for transfers within the EU
- Pathway to long-term residence in Austria
Who qualifies
- Manager, specialist, or trainee employee status within the corporate group
- Already employed by the delegating group company for 9 months (6 months for trainees)
- Delegation letter with right to return to group company outside the EU after delegation period
- Job in Austria matching your qualifications
- Minimum remuneration meeting applicable collective bargaining agreement

Mobile ICT
Long-term Mobile ICT (90+ days)
If you already hold an ICT permit from another EU Member State and will work in Austria for more than 90 days in the context of an intra-corporate transfer, you need a Mobile ICT permit for Austria.
Short-term Mobile ICT (up to 90 days)
For stays under 90 days with an ICT permit issued by another EU Member State, the Posted Worker Notification (PWN) regime applies—no separate Austrian ICT permit required.
